RESEARCH INTERESTSThe main research interest of the lab is to understand bioenergetic controls of physiological processes that impact metabolic health. Approaches employed include a variety of tools in molecular/cell biology, biochemistry, single cell RNAseq, and metabolomics as well as mouse models of obesity and related metabolic diseases. Current projects, with an emphasis on the crosstalk between metabolic and immune signaling, focus on the following areas:
